WQ Teams

The Withington Pub quiz league is one of the oldest quiz leagues in Greater Manchester dating back to 1977.  It started at the Red Lion pub in Withington.

Matches are on a Wednesday evening starting at about 8.30pm in pubs and clubs around the Withington and Didsbury area.  The season starts in October and usually lasts until the following May.

Games are arranged on a league basis with one team sitting out each week and setting the questions.

At the end of each season there is a knockout competition followed by a light-hearted end of season evening at The Albert Club in West Didsbury.

This website has been set up to help team members keep in touch with progress during the season as well as offering those who may be interested. a window into our harmless obsession.  We are always keen to welcome new teams.  To help you see the type of questions we tackle the site includes hundreds of past question papers.
