 The Prodigals
are flying at the top with KFD in hot pursuit;
Albert gain the evening's highest score whilst the
Charas get a welcome first victory of the season
against the Pigs - QotW marries the Barcroft Boake's
poem Where the Dead Men Lie and a 1977 album
in which an offensive word was claimed to be a
legitimate Old English term for a priest - The Red
shuts until March 2022 for refurbs leaving the
Fletcher Moss as our Question paper HQ |

Ethel
slip up at the Red whilst the Prods and KFD power on
- QotW features an innovation, the 'Run On and On'
question - Meanwhile a famous victory at Edgeley
Park as County recover from 2-0 down in ten minutes
to wallop the Trotters 5-3 in a Cup Replay
Prods continue
at the top whilst Ethel get back to winning ways and
go second; good wins for the Opsis and Albert - QotW
celebrates the famous Bill Grundy interview of the Sex Pistols in
1976
Prodigals
extend their lead at the top squeaking a home win
against the Pigs while KFD lose to the Charas; Ethel
keep up the chase but Albert slip back - QotW about
a Maths professor from Warwick University and his
predictions - like quizzers up and down the land we
mourn the death of Bamber Gascoigne
The Prods are flying at the
top; Albert & KFD win to keep up the chase; the
History Men gain a much needed home victory - QotW
about an early UNI-TY footballer who played for both
sides - the History Men decamp to the Parrswood
whilst their home venue the Red Lion is being
refurbished
Clean sweep for
the away teams as the Prods, KFD and Albert open up
a gap at the top of the table - QotW about an
Oscar/Grammy winner that only appeared courtesy of the East German
government
Prodigals, KFD
and Albert all win to extend their lead over the
rest - QotW about a Swedish film remembered for the
timeless beauty of its music
Clean sweep for
the away teams as 4 of the top 5 win; no change to
the order of the table - QotW about two well-known
infamous events - this season's Val Draper Cup draw
is made - James Williamson's forthcoming appearance
on ALL FM radio is trailed
Of the top 4
only Albert lose, but the table rankings stay as is;
the Opsis halt their 4 match slide - A whole round
celebrating all things Ukrainian with QotW even focusing on one such
originating in St Petersburg

Our champions
finish their campaign in winning style; and so do
the Pigs with a very welcome away victory over
Albert - Plenty of champagne celebrations in the
Prods v KFD match at the Albert Club and fond
memories of Dave Rainford - QotW spoonerises a
barefoot singer - Reminder that Round Britain
Quiz returns to Radio 4 this week

the home teams with KFD notching the evening's top
score on a friendly Prodigals paper - QotW provides
some kindly thoughts from Shakespeare - a campaign
to get Dave Rainford's name linked to the
refurbished Red Lion is launched
With a little
help from the handicap system Ethel, the Bards, the
Pigs and the Opsis go through to the Cup semis; whilst the
Prods, the League's top team, end up as lowest
scoring losers earning themselves semi final setting
duties - QotW intriguingly links the Marquis de Sade
and the current Secretary of State for Justice and
Lord Chancellor - the Red Lion reopens and resumes
its role as our Wednesday evening Question paper

through to the Val Draper final while Albert will challenge
the History Men in the Plate final - QotW concerns a Greek Professor
at the University of Sydney - 'Knocked Out United'
is mobilised once more to set the Finals paper for
next week
The Bards snaffle the Val
Draper Cup in Ladybarn whilst The History Men take the Plate at home
in the Red - the QotW award welcomes the numerical anagram format
asking for the years in which 3 well known events occurred
Albert run off with the Question of the Season
trophy whilst a combined Ethel Rodin/KFD ensemble take the honours
for the evening's quiz - Andrew presents the gongs and everyone
revels in another season successfully completed
